The Resurrection Cathedral (Voskresensky)

Kashin, st. Leo Tolstoy, 5

The main shrine of the city - the Resurrection Cathedral (Voskresensky) - is mentioned in chronicles even in 1382. For centuries it was rebuilt for several times, until it became the largest in the Tver archdiocese. The cathedral could hold 7000 people – the entire population of Kashin. On its bell tower the chime brought from Leipzig in 1872 still strike the hours.
