Monument to the Teacher

Toropets, Komsomolskaya st., 3
The Monument to the Teacher was solemnly opened in 1974 at the initiative of the graduates of school No. 1 in 1938 - the chairman of the All-Union Association "Autoexport" V. M. Petrov and the military sailor, captain I rank I. L. Loginov. The authors of the monument are Moscow sculptors Orekhov and Dumanyan.

With one hand, the teacher seems to hold out knowledge to children, with the other he leans slightly on the desk - the eternal symbol of the school. Confident calmness emanates from the whole figure. Every year, on September 1 and on Teacher's Day, girls and boys from the 1st school thank their teachers and lay fresh flowers at the monument.
