Goat Museum in Tver was established in 2008 by the historian Vladimir Lavrenov on basis of personal collection. About 3,500 exhibits from 40 countries are located in Museum halls, which representing the image of a Goat in the history as well as culture and mythology of the world nations. The main theme of the Museum is the history of the expression "Tver goat". The exhibition focuses on the legends, which could be the basis of such unusual nickname of Tver inhabitants. The Museum offers original educational programs and excursions.
