Konakovsky Museum of Local Lore

Konakovo, Lenin Ave., 23
Wed – Sun: from 11:00 to 17:00

The museum reflects the history of the region from the time of its settlement by man to the present day. Household items, ornaments made of iron, bronze and glass allow not only to tell about the occupations of the population, to reconstruct male and female costumes, but also to partially restore the elements of spiritual life, first of all, the funeral rite. In the museum, you can see the travel map of Empress Catherine II on the Volga River, with which the first written mention of the village of Korcheva is connected. Here are presented faience products from the Auerbach factory, household items, and copies of the medallions of Count F. Tolstoy, dedicated to the Patriotic War of 1812.
