Krasnokholmsky museum of local lore

The museum was created in 1964 on a voluntary basis, in the early 1980s it became part of the Tver State United Museum. The exposition includes a collection of ethnographic exhibits, reflecting the life and everyday life of Krasny Kholm’s peasants in the XVIII-XX centuries. Also there are interesting materials on the participation of the Krasny Kholm people in the Great Patriotic War. A great value have  the collection of documents, photographs and personal belongings of famous countrymen: the Myasnikovs family (a local doctor LA Myasnikov, academician-cardiologist A.L. Myasnikov, artist P.P. Chistyakov - mentor to many outstanding Russian painters, opera singer, honored artist of the RSFSR N.N. Butiagin .
